We at Senlac Wood are a welcoming caravan park and campsite based in the heart of “1066 Country” near Battle in East Sussex – the place where the Battle of Hastings was held! Our unique, picturesque family run campsite is set in twenty acres of lush woodland within the High Weald Designated Area of Outstanding Beauty. We are the ideal place for those wishing for a relaxing break away and those who intend to visit many of the local attractions and historical places of interest that Sussex has to offer. We are proud to be a CaSSOA Gold Site!
We welcome families, couples, pets and individuals to pitch up their caravan or tent in our spacious site where we have both grass pitches and hard standing pitches available. We have some fantastic facilities which visitors can use including: Electric hookups (16 amp), a clean, heated toilet block and free hot showers (which were newly refurbished in 2016), washing up facilities, and a caravan storage facility too. We even have a quaint shop where you can buy sweets & drinks – everything you may need for your stay, and we even have some places on site that are designed to entertain the whole family including our games Room, our children’s play area & our Tourist Information Point where you can find out what attractions are near us.
There is plenty to see and do near Senlac Wood – we guarantee that there is something for every taste and interest! To name a few, the area has caves, golf courses, horse-riding, fishing sites, seaside attractions, shopping, castles & monuments, some fabulous country paths to walk and much more. Some of the most popular destinations that guests like to visit include: Battle Abbey, Smugglers caves, the Blue Reef Aquarium, Hastings Castle, Rye, Wylands International Angling Centre, and Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway which are known for their fleet of steam trains.
