Widend Touring Park
We at Widend Touring Park are based in a truly beautiful setting with panoramic views of rolling Devonshire countryside. Our park has evolved over the years we have been open, gaining practical experience in catering for the touring enthusiast and we are now collecting award after award for excellence in all aspects – and we couldn’t be prouder of that fact! We are ideally located for families, couples and individuals to come and explore the local area. There is so much to do and see in this part of Devon – we are only three miles away from the beaches and attractions of Torbay and we are also close to the foothills and river valleys of the Dartmoor National Park, to name just a few.
We welcome all campers and tourers to set up in one of our pitches, and for those that want to stay in something a little more luxurious, we have a wide selection of static caravans available for hire and for sale. Our park is perfect for those looking to escape worldly bustle for a while. Families love it… Young couples dream in it… and older people wish they had found it sooner! We are very much a garden park – we have landscaped the site with beautiful plants, shrubs, hedges and trees to provide visual breaks, shelters and privacy. It is also an immaculate park, with our regularly cleaned showers, toilets and amenities.
Above all your stay will be comfortable. The site is well drained – campers and caravanners we will pleased to hear we do not abide a soggy pitch! Paths and roadways are good and level to walk and drive on, and they incline easy. Facilities are convenient and well spaced too. In fact the feeling you get whilst living here is very easy, relaxed, friendly and great fun!
As mentioned above, there is so much you can do whilst you are staying here – on site we have a heated swimming pool, a games room, a children’s play area and The Boathouse family bar which has many entertainment nights. We also have a shop onsite as well which sells everything you will need for your stay. There are many pathways for walkers and nature lovers to enjoy, and locally, there are many attractions to get the whole family having fun including: Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway. Plus there’s the local beaches and you can find top shows, lively nightclubs, and excellent shopping in the resorts of the English Riviera – Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
