Many Motorhome owners have difficulties in finding and MOT centre that is able to MOT test their vehicle due to the size. At Tomsett Kent our large MOT ramp can MOT lift up to 5.5 tonnes and up to a 6m wheel base (distance between the wheels, not the total length of the vehicle. The vehicle iself could be longer). We have a high roof and can accommodate many Motorhomes in our workshop.

Although Motorhomes are large vehicles, they are tested as a class 4 vehicle. If you are not sure about whether we will be able to MOT your vehicle, please ring us and we will be happy to help.

​Motorhome Conversions

​If you’ve started a project and are converting a light commercial vehicle or minibus into a motorhome you will need to apply to the DVLA for a change of class. At Tomsett Kent we can MOT your vehicle under its new class (as a class 4) and you can use this as evidence of  the conversion.
