We at Thirlestane Caravan & Camping Site are a 4 star holiday park, nestled under a blaze of red turrets within the Estate of Thirlestane Castle and by the winding river Leader in the Scottish Borders. Our idyllic site has a number of accommodation options available; you can either hire or buy one of our holiday homes or you can bring your own caravan, motorhome or tent and set up on one our well maintained grass areas. We have so much space available for you to go where you want and with all the lush countryside and picturesque views, there’s no better place for peace and quiet.
If you are a person who loves walking, cycling, fishing, riding, historic houses, shopping in Edinburgh or are just someone looking to have some quality family time together then Thirlestane Castle Caravan park is the perfect place for you! The Park itself provides visitors with a spectacular base from which to explore the many attractions and towns within the Scottish Borders. We are within walking distance of our quaint local town Lauder, where you would be able to find pubs, restaurants and shops for your convenience. Plus Edinburgh city centre is just a bus journey away and we have direct access to Southern Upland Way.
Our park is currently undergoing an exciting new development – we are expanding our Holiday Home park and will be offering you the opportunity to purchase your very own Holiday Home on our historical site packed full of beautiful charm. If you are looking for a new site for your Holiday Home then we welcome the opportunity to show you the new development as well as the Castle and Grounds.
